Have a Date This Weekend? Here’s a Sexy Little Eye Makeup Idea You Can Steal From This Victoria’s Secret Model

If you’re looking for a sexy, girl-next-door-meets-femme-fatale makeup idea (and who isn’t?) then it’s about time to break out the victory dance, ladies. Because this eye makeup look on Marisa Miller is it.

Now, I’m just going to get this out of the way: I think she’s wearing the same metallic eyeshadow that’s on her lids in her brows. Why this is, I don’t know but I feel we should ignore it and focus on the eye makeup because it’s just so purdy.

And speaking of those eyes, there’s just a bit of black liner surrounded by a coppery bronze eyeshadow. And because the color has a bit of a pink tone to it (but not enough to push her into zombie-land) the effect is sexy-sweet.

A few colors and palettes to play around with:

OK, ladies, who’s got an event this weekend this eye look would work for? Are you going to copy it? And what do you think is going on with her metallic eyebrows? So weird!

En Guard!

I love learning new things and last week I learned how to sword fight for my upcoming campaign with Captain Morgan- SO excited! We are doing live action along with the print photos so we get to have some fun with swordplay!

I had an awesome teacher, Tim Weske. He is a sword master and has trained many actors for movie roles. It was so much fun but pretty challenging as well. It gets complicated trying to get the moves down with such technical form. It is completely the opposite of my stance when I box so I had to overcome some habits my body naturally does. Sword fighting is a lot more graceful and fluid than I anticipated. And there is a lot on the line when you are fighting with a partner. One misstep and I could potentially stick him! But I guess that’s also the fun part;)

I’m putting my skills to the test this week. I’ll be back to let you know how it goes!

Much love,
xoxoMarisa

P.S. – Thank you so much for all of the sweet birthday messages here and on my Facebook page. Love you guys!

Why Women Love Motorcycles So Much

Just in time for this weekend’s big rally in Sturgis, the only Victoria’s Secret Angel with a Harley explains the mystique behind riding a bike — with or without a man — for those of us not exactly contemplating the flag tattoo or bandanna look. She is, as usual, very convincing.

By Marisa Miller

1. The Sex Appeal

A man on a motorcycle turns me on because a man on a motorcycle is automatically bad — a little bit tough, a little bit rugged — and, for pretty much any woman, automatically hot.

2. The Leather Jacket

Leather and motorcycles go hand and hand, and nothing — nothing — is sexier to us than a leather jacket. Even if you don’t know how to ride yet.

3. The Throbbing Engine

That sound a bike makes starting up? Makes me feel alive. It gets me revved up — gets your heart pumping — like hearing a good rock song.

4. The Freedom of the Road

A woman likes a sense of adventure, especially when it’s spontaneous. And there’s something about getting out there on the road — on front, on back, whatever — that lets you see your surroundings in a whole new way. A woman likes endless possibilities.

5. The Forbidden Drive

Girls aren’t supposed to ride motorcycles, and I love breaking stereotypes. Just seeing my Harley-Davidson Nightster in my garage feels like I have an escape vehicle — an automatic sense of empowerment and control, and my outlet to break free. Doing a burnout? Let’s just say women like to push themselves, too.

Airport Traveler

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer! I’ve been traveling quite a bit but I’m looking forward to some lazy beach days soon! The summer is off to a slow start in Northern California. Inland is crazy hot and on the coast has been foggy most of the time. I hope it warms up at the beach soon and we get an extension or something for a cold July.

The rest of the year is looking to be quite busy so I’ll have some good stuff to share soon!

Much love,
xoxoM
